Why Physical Therapy makes you so nervous

I get it!

You don't want to take your clothes off in front of a stranger.

You don't want to fill out confusing paperwork, and of course, realize that you've left your glasses at home anyway!

You don't want to have to take time away from work.

You don't want to stop and start treatment because you have to travel.

You don't want to have to find a new place in a part of town you're not familiar with.

You don't want to struggle to find a parking spot and then may even get towed away (which happened to me!).

You don't want to feel pain when an elbow gets thrust into your back.

You don't want to get your legs stretched in such a way that they're really not meant to go, are they?

You don't want to get it wrong, make a mistake and find that it doesn't work for you - yet again.

You don't want to feel embarrassed by not being flexible enough or co-ordinated enough.

You don't want to look "unfit".

You don't want to be in a place full of kids.

You don't want to gamble on finding the "right" therapist for you.

You don't want to feel worse.

You don't want to pay out of pocket.

You don't want to look foolish if it's something else that doesn't work.

What if I told you it didn't have to be this way?

What if I told you, you could "Try before you buy"?

What if I told you, you can consult with me for free and we can figure out what your best next step is? Whether that's working with me or not. What if I told you you can do this from the comfort of your own home?

What if I told you that physical therapy shouldn't hurt?

What if I told you, you can keep your clothes on?

What if I told you, you don't have to be in the middle of a crowded room discussing your health issues, or having your legs stretched over your head or even trying out brand new exercises that you don't feel confident doing with everyone watching?

What if I told you that you can travel to your heart's content and not miss out on treatment?

What if I told you there is another way?

Virtual physical therapy is a viable option for most people.

How does it work?

Simply, we meet on a video conferencing platform like Zoom. If you can click on a link in an email, you can join a Zoom meeting.

Our consultation will be EXACTLY like an in-person clinic meeting, without any of the negatives listed above. The only difference is, there will, obviously, be no hands-on.

Isn't physical therapy hands-on though?

Hands-on treatment is a tiny portion of what physical therapy is (or should be!).

Physical therapy is problem-solving.

The questions we ask, the movements we see you do, and the tests we put you through are all pieces of the puzzle.

Physical therapy puts all these puzzle pieces together to create a picture of what's going on.

When we can figure out what's going on and why we can introduce strategies to solve the problem.

Is hands-on needed for this? No, it's not.

Can you resolve the issue you have, with guidance from virtual physical therapy? Yes, you can!

Why make it harder than it needs to be?

Book your free discovery call today and start resolving that problem that you've been struggling with for way too long.

Remember today as the day you started solving your problem.
